‘Bharat Ratna for Virat Kohli’ movement begins, BCCI urged to organize a retirement match for the star




As the cricket world still comes with Virat Kohli’s decision to quit cricket, some of the biggest personalities of the game have called the Great to honor cricketing with ‘Bharat Ratna’. Virat dropped a bomb about his decision to say goodbye to the longest format of the game before the squad selection for the tour of England. The iconic batsman, widely credited for fresh life in Test cricket, found nothing in a farewell match for the disappointment of his fans.

India and Chennai Super Kings cricketer Suresh Raina have urged the Government of India to honor Virat with Bharat Ratna. He also wrote to the Board of Connorrol Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) to organize a retirement match for the batsman in Delhi, his hometown.

“I think the Government of India should reward him with Bharat Ratna as he has acquired a lot of things for India,” he said on Star Sports.

Kohli, who scored 9230 runs in 123 demonstrations for India in tests, hit 30 centuries and 31 fifties during his career in whites. There were hopes that the 36 -year -old would continue his feats with the bat in England but his career took a huge turn.

Raina, therefore, Kohli wants to get a farewell match at least in Delhi.

He said, “I also feel that he should be given a retirement match in Delhi. His family and coach must have been there to support him. After a lot of doing for the country, you communicate with him as he is entitled to a retirement match,” he said.

Fans asked Virat Kohli for ‘review’ test retirement call

Along with the audience, the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders eagerly wait for today’s clashes, which were washed due to rain, many cricket fans expressed their sentiments on Virat Kohli, which declared retirement from tests.

Many of them said that the captain of former India should review his decision to retire from Test cricket.
