England captain Ben Stokes expressed confidence in re-starting his role as an all-rounder when the side has started its important test summer through a four-day game against Zimbabwe, before the series of all the important five matches against India takes Centerstages. Stokes was out of action since tearing his left hamstring during a final test in New Zealand in December 2024. After undergoing surgery in January, Stokes is now ready for Captain England, when he hosts Zimbabwe in a four -day test at Trent Bridge starting on May 22. “On the field, I know it is going to separate for my training.
“But in the context of my role as a player, he is trying to dominate every situation, whether I have got a bat or ball in my hand, whether I want to return to the field, the biggest stage. I know that I have done so before, I am very confident,” I said Stokes for Sky Sports on Thursday.
Playing in the same area last August, a previous injury in the same area, three domestic trials against Sri Lanka and a distant game in Pakistan refused Stokes. Stokes also insisted that he was feeling fitter at any time in his game career.
“I always work hard. When I get injured, I come back before I get injured.
Stokes revealed that he was talking about managing his fitness with head coach Brendon McCullum and re -finding his best looks in tests. “I am 33 years old, I do not want to reveal myself in a situation where I am out of the field when I should not be.
“I talk to the eagle a lot about many different things, we have talked about such items and how he is going to help me better, how he is going to speak a lot about this stuff.
