Ben Stokes, England Console Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Siraj after the heart pain of God

England, led by captain Ben Stokes, took a moment out of their victory celebrations to console Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj at Lord’s. The IND vs ENG 3rd Test went to the wire, with Mohammed Siraj’s wicket handing the hosts a narrow 22-run win on Monday. Siraj was in tears, while Jadeja sunk to his knees in the aftermath of the game on Day 5.

Stokes hugs Jadeja after India fall to narrow defeat

India and England were at each other for the past 3 days as tempers flared in what was a riveting Test match at Lord’s. However, when it was all said and done, the human emotions came to the fore. India were resigned to a defeat but Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj threatened to run the game close. It eventually came to a head in the final session, with England prevailing, breaking India’s hearts.

After the game, Ben Stokes hugged Ravindra Jadeja who was distraught having fought long enough to keep India in the game. Harry Brook offered to help Mohammed Siraj off the ground who was in tears after losing his wicket. Stokes also spoke to the India fast bowler, offering him words of encouragement.
