BCCI loses, Virat Kohli returns to practice; Mayank Yadav was again injured; IPL 2025 Player Replacement

DRS, 16 May: As the franchisee scrambles to re -collect their squad after a week suspension of IPL 2025, some received good news, while others were not so lucky. Good news first. Royal Challengers Bangalore has got double boost. Romario Shepherd is available for the entire IPL while Virat Kohli returned to practice for the first time after the announcement of retirement. RCB captain, Rajat Patidar, who is nursing on a finger injury, also batted in the nets before the RCB vs KKR struggle on 17 May.

Now, for bad news, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capital are still uncertain about their Australian stars. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Veterans were given a twin shock on 16 May. Kohli joins practice

Three days after announcing a shocking retirement from Test cricket, Virat Kohli is back on the field. BCCI loses to CSA, vs CWI wins

BCCI can be the most powerful force in world cricket and could have a lot of impact on other cricket boards but Cricket South Africa (CSA) decided to ignore them. The BCCI failed to reach an agreement as South Africa announced that it will recall all eight WTC Finalbound players after the IPL league stage is over. By the final of June 3, BCCI was trying to interact on a deal for the entire period to South African players. However, as South Africa will face Zimbabwe in a warm-up match before the WTC final against Australia, he has ignored the appeal.

However, Cricket West Indies could not ignore BCCI’s call. CWI has allowed all its players to stay in IPL 2025 till the finals. IPL 2025 Player Replacement

With NOC windows for IPL 2025 on 25 May, many countries are not ready to let their players live. Some players are also free about returning to India amidst across the border tension between India and Pakistan. Therefore, BCCI allowed the franchise to rope in temporary replacement.

PBK, GT, LSG and Mi are all affected and they have signed replacement. PBK planted tall fast bowler to Kyle Jaimison for the injured Lockie Ferguson. Jose Butler set to leave after league stage, Gujarat Titans declared Kusal Mendis as a temporary replacement for the playoffs. LSG has signed William O’Rurke as a cover for Mayank Yadav. However, if they qualify for the playoffs, they would be without Aiden Markram. Mitchell Marsh is also ready to leave after the league stage. Mumbai Indians have planted Corbin Bosch and Ryan for Ryan Ryan Ryan for Will Jack and Charith Asanka.

Mayank Yadav was injured again

After six months of recovery and rehabilitation, young Mayank Yadav returned to cricket. However, he has increased his back injury after playing just two matches for LSG in IPL 2025. Therefore, Mayank has been dropped from the IPL. The 22 -year -old man is preferring to undergo surgery and may remember another six -month cricket. Speedster played two matches in this IPL, which had two wickets. But his pace reduced considerably and was not economical, going at 12.50 in eight overs.


Cricket West Indies requests for ICC

Beware of the disappearance of La 2028 Olympic cricket, Cricket West Indies have requested the ICC for fair treatment. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) only allows sovereign nations to compete in summer and winter games. However, the West Indies is a union of 15 countries and territories and thus it cannot compete as a unit in the La 2028 Olympics. Thus CWI has proposed an internal qualifying tournament for the Caribbean Islands or a global ICC qualifying event.

Shafali Verma Return

While everyone is eagerly waiting for the men’s India A squad for the tour of England, the BCCI has announced ODI and T20I squads for the women’s team. India’s women’s cricket team will take England in five T20s and three Odis starting from June 28.

Shafali Verma, who was dropped from the team, has returned after seven months. However, he has been selected only for T20I. There is no update on Renuka Thakur and Shremaka Patil. There are injuries in both nursing since the Women’s Premier League.
