Michael Olis’s 84th minute target was enough to win 2–1 over Boca Juniors on Friday at Boca Garden, FLA, as the German champion secured a place in the knockout stage of the club World Cup.
After a scuffle in the penalty region, Harry Kane sent the ball back to Olis, which exploded a shot in the lower left corner of the net.
Boka had a match on a goal of Miguel Merntial in the 66th minute, when Kane gave Bayern a lead in the first half.
Bayern (2–0, 6 digits) faced a much strict test compared to its Group C opener, which was 10–0 route to the semi-pro Auckland City (0–2–0, 0, 0 points).
Boka Juniors (0-1, 1 point) still has a chance to move forward, but they will need to root the Auckland City in Nashville on Tuesday and will be lost from Benefika (1-0-1, 4 digits) from Bayern on the same day in Charlot.
For Boka’s target of tying, Alan Velasko gave a pass in space from midfield to merrantial. Merntial defeated Bayern defender Jonathan Tah on the ball, then scored 12-yard, goalkeeper manual Neur’s head on the right leg shot and defender Josip Stanicic before shooting in the net.
Bayern also set an impressive goal. Konrad Limr fired an entry pass in the center of the Boka Penalty region. Kingsley Common knocked the ball back to Kane, which took a heavy touch, but still came on the ball on time to set fire to the 12-yard shot with his left leg.
