This is not the first time that all three are left from the T20I side. Earlier in April, Babur, Rizwan and Shaheen were snatched away from the T20I squad in the series against New Zealand. However, he returned to play in the ODI match. A press release by the PCB states that the Pakistan Super League (PSL 10) has been selected on the basis of the players’ performance.

In PSL 10, Babar Azam has scored just 288 runs in 10 matches, including three half -centuries. Rizwan did a little better, managed to score 367 runs in 10 matches, with an unbeaten 105 score of 105. On the other hand, Afridi has taken only 11 wickets out of 10 matches. It is advisable to indicate that the three stars are the captain of their respective franchise in PSL.

The series will mark Fakhar Zaman’s return to the national team. He was named as a part of the Champions Trophy team, but had to get out of the tournament initially due to injury. Opener Sam Ayub, who faced a fracture ankle earlier this year, has also been prepared to make his comeback.
