ATP Roundup: Taylor Fritz wins twice in Eastbourne

No. 1 seed and three -time Eastborne Open Champion Taylor Fritz won their first two matches to reach the semi -finals in England on Thursday.

After catching Joao Fonseka of Brazil 6-3, 6-7 (5), 7-5, in his delayed opener in the Grass-Cort event, Fritz dropped fellow American Marcos Giron 7–5, 4-6, 7-5. The next sixth seed Spaniereard is the winner of the Czech Republic, the third seed of the Czech Republic, 6-4, 7-5 winners on the Czech Republic’s third seed.

The other semi -finals launched the fourth seeded Ugo Hambert’s unplanned American Jenson Brooksbi. The two on Thursday dashed the hopes of British fans with a victory against Billy Harris and Daniel Evans.

Mallorca Championship

Canada’s No. 2 Seed Felix Ogar-Aliasim improved 7–0 in quarterfinal matches this year, winning 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 against Serbia’s Hamad Medjodevic in Spain.

In 2025, Ogar-AliSyime survived three brake points in the third set to draw with Carlos Alakraj for the most semi-final appearances. He will face the fourth seed Talon Gryxpur of the Netherlands, who abolished the number 6 Seed Gabriel Dialo of 6-4, 6-4 in Canada.

Number 3 Seed Alex Micelsen will meet Frenchman Corentin Moutate, who was overlooked in the other Grass-Cort semi-finals. Michelson defeated the seventh seed Spaniad Roberto Botista Agut 6-4, 7-6 (4) and Mutet sent American teenager learner TN 6-2, 7-5.
