ATP Roundup: Taylor Fritz ups Alexander Zavevev in Germany

The second seed Taylor Fritz won 6-3, 7-6 (0) over the house favorite Alexander Zverev in the Open final on Sunday in Germany Stuttgart.

Fritz fired 11 aces to defeat the top seeded German for the fifth straight time and captured its first title of the year and the ninth place in total.

The American did not face the brake point and won 88 percent marks of their first series. He finished it with a one -sided tiebreaker to win the match in 1 hour, 25 minutes.

Zverev was competing in its first grass-court final since 2017.

Gabriel Dialo of Canada on Sunday captured his first ATP tour title with a 7–5, 7-6 (8) victory over Belgian’s Zizau Bergs.

The 23 -year -old Dialo fired nine aces and benefited from five double defects to send Berg in 1 hour, 58 minutes.

Like Dialo, Bergs was also bid for his first title in his second final, after reaching Auckland earlier this year.
