The two teams are watching to lose lines for the beds in the mid-week match of Wednesday night, when Austin FC hosts Atlanta United.

Austin (5–6–1, 16 digits) has dropped three straight-entry sports and scored just one goal over the winner stretch. Last time, the club fell 2–1 in Cincinnati FC.

Under the first year head coach Nico Estawez, Austin has a powerful struggle on the aggressive end, as the team has scored only eight goals in the season and is tied to the second place in MLS with La Galaxy. CF Montreal has scored six goals.

“I have told everyone from the beginning, we are still in the learning process how we can be the best teams possible,” Estevez said. “We still have to keep on growing on it and find the right ways to do things. … I think there is a good time now what is happening with us and take it as a challenge and see how we can get stronger from here.”

The Brandon Waskes’ penalty goal for Austin was the first after a 1-0 domestic victory over Galaxy on April 19. Vaskes, who has three goals a year, is the only Austin player with more than one score.

Atlanta (2-6-4, 10 points) has been looking for its first win since the 4-3 domestic victory over New York City FC on 29 March. Atlanta United did not live this season (0–4-1) from home, and saw that there was a long trend in a 2–1 road defeat against Chicago Fire on Saturday.

Due to a goal in the 80th minute, Sam Rogers of Atlanta scored his goal to complete the score. The score ahead of Romeiningwu Couum six minutes later, however, sent Atlanta to his fourth loss in five attempts.

Atlanta’s head coach Ronnie Dela knows that his team has to get out of its lack of stretch – and perhaps some difficult love is needed.

“There is a demand and there is a line between love,” said Deela. “I think those two things are difficult in this type of period. It is next that the most important is. What is done is done.”

Emmanuel Latte Lath Atlanta leads five goals, followed by three of Miguel Almaron.
