As the first words of Abhishek Nair, he suddenly joined KKR after dismissing BCCI

The upcoming assignment of Kolkata Knight Riders is against Gujarat Titans at Eden Garden on Monday. The match will also mark Abhishek Nair’s return as an assistant coach of KKR. Nair, who was part of KKR’s coaching setup in the previous edition, quit his job after joining as an assistant coach in Team India. He was selected by Head Coach Gautam Gambhir with Ryan Ten Dotk as his assistant. However, BCCI took a strict action after India’s defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia and dismissed Nair with his duties.
Shortly after his dismissal, Nair returned to KKR as an assistant coach and recently seen interacting with the players in a video.
In a video posted by KKR on X (East Twitter), Nair was seen entering the field with captain Ajinkya Rahane, when Cameron welcomed him. “Thank you. Appreciate it. Good to come back,” Nair replied.

Later, the 41 -year -old also interacted with head coach Chandrakant Pandit and Batter Rinku Singh.
The BCCI sacked Assistant Staff members Nair, Fielding Coach T Dilip and conditioning coach Soham Desai after reviewing the performance of India’s disappointing run in Test cricket.
India faced an unprecedented 0-3 whitewash at home against New Zealand, followed by a 1-3 series defeat-during the first time in Australia-during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.
Despite earning praise for his work with players like KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and Shreyas Iyer, his future became uncertain after bringing the BCCI into Santashu Kotak as a batting coach for the England White-Ball series earlier this year. BCCI has not released any official communication at the end of Nayar.
Talking about KKR, the defending champions will hop that his strip-grouped batting unit in-form table-toppers will tighten their act against Gujarat Titans.
Knight Riders faced an inexplicable recession in their previous match, chasing 112 against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur for 95, and the collapse was a reflection of overall rot that was set between their batsmen.
