Most names are unfamiliar to casual fans, but there were a handful of young people who would try to follow in the spike-print of MLB alumni.
One of those players is the son of Brady Counsel, the current Chicago cub manager Craig Counsel. Arizona Diamondback taunted the central point of the draft in the tenth round with pick number 303 at the central point of the draft almost to the right.
The young counsell completed his collection career in Kansas after competing for three sessions in Minnesota. He played both the third base and the left field for Jayavax and flashed his gloves in both positions, posted a .992 field percentage and earned the first in the history of Rawalings Gold Glove Honors, School.
After being transferred from Minnesota, COUNSELL, who played only one season in Lawrence, had an excellent year for Jayhawks and the team helped make a single season record in conference win (20), conference series winning (seven) and road victory (20) as the team finished 43-17 and second in the Big 12 conference.
Wright displayed power in the plate, scored 12 home runs and driving 57 runs for Kansas. He was taunted on the Honorable All-Big 12 in his lonely season in Lawrence.
This is a good moment for counsels and prolonged diamond fans as Craig was a member of the 2001 world series team. He played in Desert for six seasons (2000–2003, 2005–2006), 24 domestic runs and 193 with RBI .266. This was his longest tenure for any of the six franchises played for him.
After finishing his career with Millvauki Breves in 2011, Craig Council managed the franchise from 2015–23 before taking over as the manager of the cub in 2024.
Another notable son-father draft story, Keden Kent, son of Jeff Kent, the most valuable player of 2000 NL. Keden was taunted late in the third round by New York Yankeys (Pick No 103). In three years at Texas A&M, Infielder hit 18 domestic runs and 100 with RBI. He earned a place in the 2024 College World Series All-Tournament team.
The last player receiving the phone call was Shane Brinham, a pitcher of the Handsworth Secondary School in Vancouver, British Columbia. He came from the call Los Angeles Dozers.
