New York Liberty remains unbeaten and defeated Washington Mistics for the second time this season when both teams faced DC on Thursday

The Liberty (7–0) won 85-63 over Mistics (3-5) last Friday and is winning a 100-52 over connecting sun on Sunday.

Washington dropped his second consecutive game after falling 85–76 in Indiana fever in the commissioner’s cup game on Tuesday.

First-year Liberty player Natasha Cloud named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week on 28 May, after the Sunday’s victory, told the media that it is time to focus on Liberty.

“Pay attention to Liberty Basketball. I mean, they lived last year. I see a lot of tweets how we have not won a championship (in New York) since 2011. I know that this is not my championship, but I feel like it needs to be respected here.”

In 2019, Cloud, a champion with The Mistakes, played an important role in the hot start, an average of 10.9 points per game in its first season with Liberty. He is also a very large playmaker, who assists in a team-high 6.9 per outing.

For Washington, it started the year 2–0, but has dropped five of its last six matches.
