Angry as Virat Kohli, Sai Reformson snatched the ‘batsman the matter’ list by Sanjay Manjrekar
Often known for triggering debate on social media with its comments in the commentary panel or on the X (on Twitter in the east, Sanjay Manjrekar on Saturday gave fans another reason to question his ‘bias’. Often not known for not copying his words, Manjrekar shared analysis of a debate on social media, as he is very much in the form of ‘batsmen’. Manjrekar decided to like Virat Kohli, Sai Sudarshan and Iden Markram from the list, despite the fact that three are one of the top run-songs in this campaign.
“When it comes to batting, the only list matters. Big Running with Great SR so far,” has written on social media, while sharing a list of at least 250 runs in this season, on a strike-by-153 strike.

The major batsmen who did not have facilities in the list of Manjrekar are: Virat Kohli, Sai Reformson, Yashsvi Jaiswal and Aiden Markram, who were all in the list of top 10 highest run-scores in this campaign. However, since his strike-by-the-old man approlited by the sanction was slightly lower than the ‘criteria’, he was considered ‘not very good for the batsmen’.
Sudarshan is so far in the IPL 2025 Orange Cap holder, with 417 runs at an average of 52.13 and a strike of 152.18. On the other hand, Kohli has hit 144.11 in this season and is second in the top run-songs list, with 392 runs in his name. Markram has scored 326 runs so far on a strike-rate of 150.92. Given how well the trio performed this season, it was actually left out of the list of Manjrekar for fans.
