Taylor Ward hit a Grand Slam and Logan O’Hope added a single homer in the seventh innings to win the host athletics on Thursday in West Sacramento, California to Los Angeles’ angels.

Angels extended a four-game series and won seven directly. Ward 3 -for -4 was five RBI and two runs. He extended his hitting streak into eight matches, while Zach NETO scored two runs and 3 -for -5 runs with RBI.

This was the ninth disadvantage of athletics in a row as Brent Rooker, which was 3 -for -4 and a triple of cycle low.

Hunter Striclland (1-0) won relief with a 1 1/3 scorer innings.

The singles explosion of the ward’s Grand Slam and O’Hope in the seventh eradicated a 5–2 lead of athletics. Reliever Grant Holman (4–1) suffered losses after both explosions, which both came on 0–1, four-seam fastball. The Grand Slam of the ward was estimated at 426 feet and came with the center. This was his sixth career Grand Slam and the third against athletics.

After George Solar was fanned, O’Hope removed one in a contrasting area above the fence in the right-center, for an approximate distance of 410 feet. This was the 14th home run for each in this season.

Los Angeles added three in the ninth Joe base-loaded walk, Yon Monkada’s sacrifice fly and three in an RBI singles by Kevin Pneumon.

Rooker gave athletics a 2–0 lead with two-outs, two-run homer in the earlier lower part. This was his 11th home run.

Nick Kurtaz’s sacrifice made it 3–0 athletics to fly at the center in the third.

In the fourth, the RBI single of the ward placed the angels for the game 3–1 on the board.

Neto’s run-scoring with two outs in the fifth tightened the loss of Los Angeles 3–2.

Athletics allowed to increase athletics by 5–2 at the bottom of the fifth to the geo-loaded walk Gio Ursela (by Starter Tyler Anderson) and Jhhoni Pereda (by Strikland). Ursela left the game with an unspecified left hamstring injury in the seventh.
