Angels placed 2B Christian Moore (thumb) on 10-day IL

Los Angeles Angels placed the second Basman Christian Moore in the 10-day injured list on Thursday due to a left thumb sprain.

In a related step, Angels selected the contract of Shortstop Chad Stevens from Triple-e Salt Lake. Stevens were slated to bat ninth in the order and launched the second base in its major league debut in Atlanta on Thursday.

Moore, 22, Dov tried to grab a grounder of Ozi Albiz in the middle for a single and left the game in the sixth innings of hosts Braves on Wednesday. Moore was replaced by Kevin Pneumon.

“Anytime you see someone (Moore) is such an injury, you are the worst scared,” said Angels interim manager Ray Montgomery.

He said that Moore may disappear two weeks “looking at the best-case landscape.”

Moore started her major league on 13 June. He is batting.

The angels chose Moore with the eighth overall pick of the 2024 MLB draft.

Stevens, 26, was batting.

Angels also released the 36-year-old Right-Hand Hectare Neris, which was 3–0 to 3–0 with 5.14 ERA, seven walks and 19 strikes in 14 innings in 21 innings this season.

Neris also picked the season for Braves and after allowing five earned runs in an innings, with 45.00 ERAs with 0–1, giving him a combined 7.80 ERA for 15 innings in 2025.
