Angel Reese Triple-Dabal Akash takes the past to the sun

Angel Reese gave his first WNBA Triple-Dabal with 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 and led Chicago Sky to win Chicago Sky to a 78-66 win over connecting sun in the commissioner’s cup game.
Reese’s triple-dabble was the second in WNBA this season, as well as with Cattlein Clarke of Indiana Fever. It was the first triple-dabble from a sky player after courtney Williams in 2023.
Reese and Ruki Guard Haley Van Lith handled the ball distribution in the absence of the injured veteran point guard courtney wanderslut. The victory for Chicago was the team’s first as the Wanderslut season-ending was a knee injury against Indiana on 7 June.
Van Lith distanced 16 points from the bench for Chicago (3-7), marking a new season best on 6-for-8 shooting, coming after his 11 points coming after a halftime.
Sky guard Kia Nurse added 11 points, including 3-for-3 shoots from the 3-point range. Kamila Cardoso and Aerial Atkins increased every 10 points every 10 points. Chicago is now 1-3 in the commissioner’s cup play.
Sky lagged 8–0 in the initial minutes of the game, but rally to claim the 38–36 halftime age. To open the fourth quarter, 8–2 runs pushed the lead on the van lith jumper to 67-56 and the Connecticut never drew close to nine points.
Akash tried to assist 17 out of 18 free-thro and made 44–36 rebounding age.
Connecticut (2-8) received an impressive performance from Guard Marina Mabre, which was traded from Akash in 2024. Mabre dried a season-servant five 3-pointers for 22 points on 12 attempts, but also had six turnover.
Veteran Sun Center Tina Charles scored 19 points and six rebounds, but other players from Connecticut struggled to contribute.
Connecticut shot 39.1 percent (25 -for -64) for the game and 5 -for -16 (31 percent) in the fourth quarter. The sun fell 1-3 in the commissioner’s cup play.
