Amidst the struggles of Delhi Capital, Abishek Poral praised Kevin Pietersen’s support

Delhi Capital ‘(DC) wicketkeeper-botter Abishek Poral highlighted the positive impact of the team’s mentor Kevin Peterson, even the franchisees have to face a standing climb in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 playoff race. Porl, who has been inconsistent in Delhi’s campaign, highlighted the importance of Mentarships of Peterson, especially during difficult stages. “Experience with Kevin Pietersen has really been good,” Poral said at the post -match press conference.

“He tells us what should be done and what not to do, and he always appreciates us when we do well, but the biggest thing is that that support is not when things are not getting right. Not only him, not only, the entire team management returns us during difficult times and reminds us that we still have a chance to bounce back,” he said.

Delhi Capital started a tournament on a promising note, with four consecutive win and the initial pace was created. However, his form has taken a louder with just two wins in the last eight matches. The defeat of Gujarat, which chased a target of 200 runs without losing wickets, carried forward Delhi’s playoff hopes.

Currently, six wins, five defeats and one result are ranked fifth on the points table, Delhi still has two games in the league stage. While the qualification is mathematically possible, they will not only need to win both matches, but also expect favorable results in other fixtures.

Recently, despite the recession, Poral’s words reflect a dressing room that remains united and inspired.

“My experience with team management has been good,” he said.

His playoff hopes are hanging with a thread, Delhi Capital will quickly see to re -gather and support the channel in the performance on the field.
