Ajinkya Rahane’s comments surprised the KKR captain, the team says that the team repeats the same mistakes

Defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders have fought with batting issues in this IPL season and the changes made for home sports against Gujarat Titans were not effective, former Captain Eoine Morgan feels. KKR’s Gujarat Titans suffered a loss by 39 runs here on Monday, he lost second consecutive defeat in the tournament, third in the last five matches and fifth in eight matches. It has also been a season of struggle at home for a three -time champion, who has lost three out of four matches in the Eden Gardens.

“Kolkata Knight Riders have not just bounced back and also we like them. It is always a good sign for a strong team with a lot of character, but they had the same failures that they have shown throughout the tournament,” said Geostar expert Morgan.

“He made some changes (against GT), mainly to try to get some inspiration in his batting line-up, and it was not necessary whether the changes were worth it? They would sit back and say no.” Morgan said that KKR failed to participate in the chase of 199 as he ended at a simple 159 for eight.

He said, “It was interesting to talk about Ajinkya Rahane that he talked about being a score of 1999 because towards the end of the innings of Gujarat’s Titans, we thought that we were held more than expected than the ball (and) made the boundaries harder.”

Morgan said, “But there was no rhythm, there was no enough partnership – the opposite of what the Titans of Gujarat displayed.” Morgan was praising everyone for India and GT Pesar Prasad Krishna who gave another important mantra of 4-0-25-2.

“He is currently a purple cap holder, and his rhythm is simply getting better. We know that he has an additional bit speed to work, but you have to praise the strength during the middle phase of the game,” he said.

“As a captain, having a seamor that can have that kind of effect in the middle overs is absolutely precious.” Morgan said, “Now he finds himself with the most wickets in this year’s tournament – by some margin, in fact, four. He is very good to grow as a player, develop in formats and now reward with national honor.”

Meanwhile, former India batsman Ambati Rayudu praised B Sai Sudhraman, who made 36 balls 52 to take the last 400 -run mark in this IPL to play the game in “traditional style”.

Rayudu said, “This gives us such happiness to watch batting. As a classical batsman, he shows how the game can still be played in a traditional style – (to do) use ball speed, play under your eyes, keep it on the ground, and play smart cricket. Smart cricket is scoring runs and also creates faith.”
