Darren Waller is returning to NFL this season with Miami Dolphin, agents Drew Rousenhus and Robert Bailey confirmed the ESPN on Monday.

Waller retired before the 2024 season, working on a music career, cited a medical intimidation for football and the disadvantage of “passion”.

At the time of his retirement, Waller was a member of the New York veterans. According to the ESPN report, the veterans have agreed to trade Waller and a conditional 2027 seventh-round draft pick for a conditional sixth round pick in 2026.

Agents reported that ESPN Waller agreed to a year deal of up to $ 5 million. Because he officially retired, Waller should be restored from the reserve/retired list.

Waller turned 33 in September.

Dolphin reduced a tight end in the deal with security minkah fitzpatric for steelers this week. Miami participated with Cornerback Jalan Ramsey and Tight End Jonu Smith, who received the dolphin’s franchise record and yard (884) for a tight end reception (88) in the previous season. He also had eight touchdowns on 17 games (six starts) N routes to be selected in Pro Bowl.

Waller was a Pro Bowl selection with Las Vegas Reders in 2020. He said last year that being a football player, he opened the doors to help address his previous struggles with drug addiction, which he did not have otherwise.

He said, “Always grateful to the game of football. I will not be able to do this conversation or would not be thinking or self-exploited through things if it was not for the opportunity to save my life and go to rehabilitation, which NFL introduced to me,” he said. “They gave me a chance to re-establish myself, come back to the world and make some producers. Give me an example. Become a leader, become a leader, become an inter-producer in my craft, but wherever I go to my day to day.”

Waller joined the veterans for the 2023 season after two sessions with Baltimore Revenne (2015-16) and five with Reders (2018-22). In his lonely season with New York, Waller played 12 games (11 beginnings) and made 52 receptions for 552 yards and a touchdown.

Wallar’s career height came with 107 catches, 1,196 yards and nine touchdowns in 2020 with reders. In the 86 Career Games (63 Starts), Wallar has 350 receptions, 4,124 yards and 20 TDs.
