After the damage to the mates, Rockies expects to revive recent success

Colorado Rockies finally found a drain for more than two months in the season, but stumbled against New York Met’s on Friday night.
New York took a three-game opener with a win 4–2 to end the first three-game winning line of Colorado’s season.
Mets will try to get the series when they send the Right-Hand Clay Homes (6-3, 3.07 ERA) to the mound against Rock, which on the mound against the Left-Hander Carson Pamakist (0–4, 8.50) on Saturday night at Denver.
This will be a repeat of the pitching matchup from last Sunday, when Mats won 5–3 in New York.
Holmes have been a reliever for most of their career before going to rotation this season. He started four of his 11 matches with Pittsburgh Pirates in 2018 before making 300 direct relief appearance from 2019-24.
He has launched 12 games this year, recently against Rockies in New York on Sunday, when he scored three runs in season-hai intake innings.
In seven career games against Rockies, Holmes is 1–0 with 2.45 ERA.
The New York Shortstop Francisco Lindor could be the first start on Saturday as he faced a broken toe in a 6–1 win at Los Angeles Dojers on Wednesday. He was a hero with a pinch-hit on Friday night, two runs double in the ninth innings.
Lindor, which is hitting 14 domestic runs and 38 RBI. 282 this season, did some work on the ground before the game on Friday and in the cage and showed manager Carlos Mendoza enough to use in a major position on Friday.
Mendoza said, “Seeing him (Friday), talking to him, I won’t be surprised that he is in the lineup (Saturday).”
Colorado will not have its own shortstop for at least one more week, when the Azciel Tower was placed in the 10-day injured list with a left diagonal tension until Tuesday. The move opened the way for Ryan Ritter to start his major league on Friday night, eighth Rockies players to do so this season. Ritter was batting. 305 with 16 domestic runs and 45 RBI in Triple-e Albuquerque.
Ritter tripped in his second at-bat on Friday. The 2022 fourth round pick from Kentaki University earned his promotion after killing 12 domestic runs, 10 couples and three triple with Albuquerque in May and he was named Pacific Coast League Player of the Month.
“Ryan Ritter is fantastic,” said Warren Shefer, interim manager of Colorado. “It is good to see him here. He earned it. I am happy for him to get a shot in big leagues.”
Peakwist was the most recent Rockies player to start his leading league, and he came to Erizona Diamondback on 16 May. Peakwist suffered losses on Sunday despite killing the high eight of the career in 4 2/3 innings against Mets.
The youth movement of Colorado took another step when the team on Friday released unconditional experienced creator Jacob Stallings and recalled Brexon Phulford from Triple-A. Phulford started its major league on 16 April and was 1 -for -8 in four matches before he was sent back to Albuquerque.
With his sweep by Miami Marlins this week, Rockies won his season to 12.
