After Rohit Sharma’s sudden test retirement, BCCI’s major assurance: “He will continue …”

After the retirement of Indian captain Rohit Sharma from the test format, East-Khiladi and teams all thanked the 38-year-old man for their 12-year term with the national team on social media. India’s wicket-keeper Batter Rishabh Pant claimed that Rohit’s influence will be followed in the Indian team’s dressing room for years.
“Your appearance and effect will echo in that dressing room forever. Very love, @Rohitasharma 45 brothers,” posted pants on Instagram.
Dhruv Jurael, who was handed over his Test debut under Rohit in 2024 Test Series vs. England, also wished the right hand batsman a happy retirement.
“Always posted my first captain, Happy Retirement Rohit Bhaiya,” Jurael posted.
Rohit finished his test career with 4,301 runs with 67 tests on an average of 12 centuries and 18 fifties of 40.57. He was appointed captain in 2022 after Virat Kohli resigned from his role. He led India in 24 Tests, won 12 and lost nine games. He oversee the final loss of India’s 2023 WTC against Australia.
