Royal Challengers Bangalore claimed a seven -wicket win over Punjab Kings in Mulanpur on Sunday. RCB launched the ‘Revenge Week’ of IPL 2025 as they completely defeated PBK in all departments to score two points. To bowl first, RCB limited PBK to 157/6 in 20 overs with Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma. Later, the Rajat Patidar-led side did not face much hiccups as Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 73-Run conducted him to win.

After the game, a very hearty scene was captured as Kohli’s meeting and interacted with PBKS co-owner and actress Preity Zinta. In a picture that went viral on social media, both were seen hugging and sharing some laughter.

This moment was the biggest example of sportsmanship as Preity had a happy conversation with Kohli despite her team’s big defeat.
After the defeat, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer admitted that the team needs to work on batting performance.
“If you like most of our batsmen to go with balls, we are struggling to assess the wicket while batting first. Otherwise we are not able to capitalize when the beginning starts. We were not able to set the total.
Despite promising his top order, PBKS was once again struggling to falter in the mid -over, maintain speed and post a rescueable total. Inconsistency in the middle order has now become a concern for the franchise, some was clear about Iyer.
He said, “We keep talking about being wicket-suited. Some of other middle-order batsmen need to step up; I need to take the bull by horns. I am in a great mind. Just I need to cross ten runs. I just need to be free-flowing,” he said.
