Add cardinals Jose Barrero, Option Thomas Saggies

St. Louis Cardinals on Monday selected the contract of Infielder/outfielder Jose Barrero from Triple-e Memphis and opted for Infielder Thomas Saggiz.

To get barrero on the 40-man roster, the right-handed Ryan Loutos was nominated for assignment.

The 27 -year -old Barrero is set to start his cardinals. He played four seasons with Cincinnati Reds (2020-23), batted. 186 with four domestic runs and 32 in 139 games with RBI, 104 in Shortstop.

23 -year -old Saggi batted. 341 batted with a home run and two domestic runs in 32 matches and 11 RBI in 32 matches for the club in the last two sessions in 14 matches with a home run and this season.

The 26 -year -old Loutos did 3.38 ERA with two savings in eight innings in eight relief presence in the mmphis this season. He picked in three matches for cardinals in the previous season and did not allow a run in 2 1/3 innings.
