The Chicago cub activated a roster spot by nominating the left -handed Shota Shota Shota from the injured list to start Thursday’s game against St. Louis Cardinals and nominated the right -handed Michael Phulmer for assignment.
31 -year -old Imanaga is out with Hamstring Strain from 4 May. Prior to injury, he allowed two out of six runs or less.
It is 3–2 with 2.82 ERA in this season and 37 with 2.89 ERA to 18–5, which begins with cub in the last two sessions, including an all-star selection in 2024.
The 32 -year -old Phulmar had two scorer relief matches for the cub and Boston is a combined of 4.76 ERA in three appearances with Red Sox and Cubs. 265 Career Games (90 begins) in eight sessions with four clubs, including twice the cubs, the Phulmer is 37–50 with 3.95 ERA.
