Abhishek Nair, assistant coach of the Indian cricket team, has been dismissed by only eight months in assignment amid speculation of a rift with a high-profile member of assistant employees, even though the test debate against New Zealand and Australia is being quoted as their Oster. If the sources of the board are to be believed, Nair has already been told about the BCCI’s decision that he participates with him.

A BCCI source told PTI, “While India’s recent Test debacals (against New Zealand and Australia) churned, but BCCI also has a feeling that Nair support became a sacrifice of a sacrifice in a turf war between the staff and a senior star player.”

Fielding coach T Dileep, and Strength and Conditioning Coach Soham Desai are also out after completing more than three years in their respective positions.

BCCI’s new standard operation process (SOP) has overshadowed the tenure of assistant employees in three years.

It is learned that India’s first strength and conditioning coach Adrian Le Rukes are likely to return to a second term. South African is widely credited to start a new fitness culture in the Indian team led by the then Sourav Ganguly during the 2003 World Cup.

BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia, when approached by PTI, chose Query to sideline.

“Some things are being finalized. You will receive a press note from BCCI in a few days,” Saik said when asked about development.

The 41-year-old Nair, a former all-rounder, played three Odis, but broadly a domestic stallwart with 103 first-class games, did not respond to a text message sent by PTI.
