Rohit Sharma did not guarantee the captaincy in England’s tests, the report said that Gautam will want Gambhir …

As the Indian Premier League (IPL) is near its decisive phase, talks have begun to resume international cricket, in which the Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) has considered the leading options for the tour of England in June. While Rohit Sharma expressed his desire to remain the Test captain of India, a report showed that the management has not given any guarantee on his role. In fact, many people see the 5-Match test chain as an opportunity to start a transition period in the longest format.

Despite a spectacular visit to Australia, where Rohit was also rumored to consider his retirement, it also decided to declare any change. Many feel that the test series against England may be the final of Rohit. However, the 38 -year -old has not yet finalized his plans.

According to a Times of India report, BCCI may give Shubman Gill the role of vice-captain in England, which had already made him a T20 Eye and Deputy in ODI. However, a senior Indian cricketer has also expressed a desire to play the role of captaincy in a short term, but the boards, selectors and coaches are only eager to discover a long -term solution.

Paper claims that even head coach Gautam Gambhir wants a long -term solution to the problem. The stop-gap option is not just interested.

“A new WTC cycle is starting. The future and continuity should be taken into consideration as far as the team is concerned. Even coach Gautam Gambhir wants a set of players with whom there is a possibility of working for an extended period. No stop-gap solution for such an important series can be there. The final two tests are not ideal for teams and England series.

Along with Gill, however, his inconsistency with the bat also remains a problem. Although he has replaced the number 3 in the Indian Test team, Cheteshwar was evacuated by Pujara, but has been away from assuring his exploitation with the bat.

Out of the 1893 Test run, Gill has scored in his career, only 649 has come away from home. Therefore, the tour of England is expected to be quite challenging for the Indian batsman, not only from his own batting point, but also from the point of view of a leadership candidate.
