Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni convicted himself as his franchise for losing by just two runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at his IPL 2025 Clash in Bengaluru. The CSK was reduced by what his highest successful chase in the IPL. Dhoni scored 12 runs off eight balls and went out significantly to the final as CSK instigated a dramatic defeat. As a result, 17 -year -old Ayush Mhatre’s 94 disgusting knock was in vain.
Dhoni said, “When I went on the bat, that kind of delivery and run were needed, I felt that I should change some more shots to reduce the pressure. I take the blame.”
After RCB posted a big post of 213 at home, CSK looked into hunting during thanks to Ayush Matre and Rabindra Jadeja for the amazing knock. Mhatre slammed 94 off just 48 balls, showing beyond his years. Jadeja himself scored 77 runs for 45 runs and remained unbeaten till the end, but was unable to guide the CSK house.
CSK needs 22 runs off eight balls, Dhoni slammed Bhuvneshwar Kumar by six.
However, against Yash Dayal in the final over, Dhoni failed to execute and LBW was rejected with CSK and required 13 runs off three balls.
CSK was assigned a lifeline as Dayal bowled the waist-high no-ball and Shivam Dubey broke the six with his first ball. However, with even the equation seeking six runs from three balls, Dayal grabbed his nerve and won two runs for RCB.
Earlier, RCB was transported to a total of 213 with a knock with West Indian all -rounder Romario Shepherd. Power-Hitter scored 53 runs off just 14 balls, taking Kailel Ahmed and Mathesh Pathirana to the cleaner.
Virat Kohli (62) and Jacob Bethel (55) also contributed significantly to the clan of RCB.
