‘Furious’ Shubman Gill argued with umpire after controversial dismissal against Sunrisers Hyderabad

Shubman Gill was involved in a hot conversation with the umpire after a controversial dismissal during the IPL 2025 encounter between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday. Gill looked brilliantly as he slammed a sensational Half-Sinchuri to provide GT with a close start. However, on the final ball of the 13th over, he was run-out by scoring 76 runs in just 38 delivery. Jose Butler made a delivery from Zeshan Ansari to a short fine leg and went for a quick single. However, Harshal Patel quickly collected the ball and his throw crashed his crease well with Gill Gill. Ripley confused the third umpire as it was not certain whether the stump was upset with the ball or the gloves of the wicket-keeper. However, the third umpire was eventually assured and ruled in favor of SRH.

Gill was upset with the decision and after making his way for GT Dugout, he was caught on camera having a warm conversation with the match officer on dismissal.

Gujarat Titans posted 224 for six against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their IPL match on Friday.

Invited to BAT, Skipper Shubman Gill scored 76 off 38 balls, before Jose Butler scored 64 runs in 37 delivery.

Jaydev Undkat took three wickets in the last over.
