Virat Kohli gifted IPL rival and India team partner Sarfaraz Khan’s brother

Everyone witnessed Virat Kohli’s fiery aggression during the IPL 2025 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), especially when he celebrated animatedly in front of Shreyas Iyer, seemingly to rile him up. However, the RCB star also showed his softer side after the match, winning hearts by gifting his bat to Musheer Khan, the younger brother of Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan.

After playing the role of anchor and leading the Royal Challengers Bengaluru to victory over the Punjab Kings at Mullanpur on Sunday, the batting legend made a touching gesture to one of the young stars of PBKS. Musheer posted on Instagram that Kohli had given the youngster one of his bats, which has become a regular practice for the batting legend, who has even given his bats to current players like Rinku Singh, a move that went viral at the time.

Musheer Khan wrote, “A million thanks for the bat and Viratbhaiiya & a billion for the love!”

The 20-year-old star ended as the second-highest run-scorer with 360 runs in 7 games during the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2024, making it an unforgettable campaign. Along with playing nine games for the state and scoring 716 runs, he has also represented Mumbai in the first-class format.

Musheer Khan had a standout performance in last year’s Duleep Trophy, scoring a remarkable 181 off 373 deliveries for India B, captained by Abhimanyu Easwaran, against Shubman Gill’s India A. Despite that impressive effort, he is yet to make his debut for Punjab Kings, who already boast a strong batting lineup featuring stars like Shreyas Iyer, Prabhsimran Singh, Priyansh Arya, and others.
