Anahem Duck fired Greg Cronin as his head coach on Saturday morning after two sessions.

61-year-old Cronin posted a record of 62-87–15 in Anahem after accepting the situation-his first as NHL head coach on June 5, 2023. Duck limited a mark of 35–37–10 (80 points) in 2024–25 and recalled Finnish Finnish in a sixth place in the Pacific division for a direct sevente season.

Duck’s general manager Pat Verback said, “I personally want to thank Greg for my tireless work and dedication to the team.” “He is responsible for the improvement from our youth core in many ways.

“Although after careful evaluation of several weeks, I concluded that we needed a change in direction and a new voice. It was a very difficult decision for me, but I felt that it was necessary to continue our progress towards becoming a stanley cup contender which I know we can know.”

Cronin, who took over for Dallas Ekins, was with the previous NHL auxiliary-cooking duties with New York Islanders (1998–2003, 2014-18) and Toronto Maple Maple Leafs (2011-14). He worked as a Bridgeport Sound Tigers (2003-05) head coach and Colorado Eagles (2018–23) of the American Hockey League as well as a bench boss at Northeastern University from 2005–11.
