Mike Sulivan, the coach of Pittsburgh Penguin for a long time, will start behind the New York Rangers Bench against his former team, which is part of NHL’s season-opening Tripleheader on 7 October.
This action begins with Chicago BlackHox, which two times go to ET at 5 pm to Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers, followed by Penguins and Rangers at the Madison Square Garden at ET at 8 pm and Los Angeles Kings while hosting Colorado Hospital at 10:30 pm.
All three games will be broadcast on Sportsnet and TVA sports in ESPN and Canada, especially in the US.
The entire 2025-26 regular-season schedule will be announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The Panthers will increase its second championship banner before the game in Amarate Bank Arena. Florida defeated Edmonton Olers in six matches to claim the Stanley Cup last month.
Sulivan, 57, gave coaching to Penguin from 2015-25 and won two Stanley Cups. He and the team agreed to participate on April 28 after missing the playoffs for the third season of Penguin on 28 April.
On May 2, Sulivan was hired to replace Peter Lavilett as the coach of Rangers, who missed the 2025 playoffs after reaching the finals of the Eastern Conference last season.
