The Sports Business Journal said on Monday that the PGA Tour plans to bring back a tournament to Trump National Dormal near Miami in 2026.

A new tournament in Dormal per Sports Business Journal is expected to be determined for the week of April 27-May 3, between the Zurich Classic of New Orleans (a team event) and the Trust Championship (one signature program). Title sponsor and tournament organizers are still unknown.

The resort purchased by Trump Sangathan in 2012 hosted a PGA Tour event in its famous “Blue Monster” course from 1962-2016. During the first run of Donald Trump for the President, the tour shifted the WGC-Cadilac Championship from Dorl to Mexico City, at a time when other golf glory bodies also tried to distance themselves from the then-upper-up.

Live Golf has played in Trump Dormal for four years since its inception in 2022, but the course is not on the 2026 LIV schedule, which is likely that the PGA tour may return.

Trump has met with representatives of PGA Tour and Liv, including Tiger Woods and PGA Commissioner J. Monhan, about the attempt to merge rival sides. The PGA tour returning to Trump’s assets can be seen as an olive branch, who has supported the Saudi -backed live circuit since its inception.
