
Seddan Rafela defeated Tampa Bay Rez 4–1 on Sunday to score a two-run domestic run to help Boston Red Socks increase his victory streak to 10 games.
Rafela’s domestic run came against Tampa Bay, who was starting Pitcher Ryan Papiot and gave Red Sox 4–1 in the sixth innings. This was his 14th domestic run of the season and was fifth in his last eight matches.
Bryan Bello (6-3) of Boston held rays for a run on five hits in 6 1/3 innings. He hit five. Arldis Chapman hit each of the three batsmen he faced to earn his 17th Save in the ninth.
Pepriot (6-7) was drawn after six innings. He gave four runs (three earned) and seven hits, three killed and one went away.
Jeet gave Boston a four-game sweep of Tampa Bay. This is the first time Red Sax has won 10 consecutive games since July 2018.
Boston took a 1-0 lead in the third. Marcello Mayor doubled and went third on the groundout of Connor Wong. It seems that Tampa Bay Cature Matt Thees chose the mayor in third place, but the third Basman Junior Caminero was called for obstruction and the mayor was honored with the house.
Tampa Bay tied the game in the fourth. Jake Mangam doubled, a bello moved to third place on a wild pitch and scored on Josh Lov’s sacrifice fly.
Red Sox took a 2–1 lead on two-out single of the trevor story in the sixth. The Hit scored Roman Anthony, which doubled and moved third on Masataka Yoshida’s groundout. Two-Run Homer of Rafela came forward and gave red sox a three-run cushion.
Boston had two out of eight hits in the story.
Mangam and Yandi Diaz collected two hits for Tampa Bay, including eight hits. The rays enter the all-star break on the four-game losing line.
