Manager Bob Melvin is optimistic that sloggers may avoid the injured list travel and recover during the upcoming all-star break.
Melvin told reporters on Friday, “He has gone on some medicine, feels a little better today. We will see how he reacts to him.” “I am happy that we got MRI, so we know what is going on.”
The 28 -year -old Davors, Boston, has been limited to the 23 matches with San Francisco since the June 15 arrived at the trade with Red Sox.
“He feels that it is mostly running, perhaps a little bit in the plate, but not as much as he is driving the hideouts,” Melvin said. “I think hopefully (he will be cured). I think he is playing a little bit through it, basically when he is here. This is the reason that he is not in the field yet.”
Entering on Saturday, the three-time all-star is batting third. Two domestic runs and 220 for veterans with nine RBI. He batted with 15 Homeers and 58 RBI in 73 sports for Boston before business.
Davors is a career. 705 RBI in 1,076 Games since 278 hitters with 217 domestic runs and MLB with Red Sox in 2017.
