Rishabh Pant crossed MS Dhoni in another record during Lord’s Test

Rishabh Pant has made a habit of breaking the record for bats in Test cricket every time.

Another innings, another example of breaking a record for Rishabh Pant, continues a mark that some wicketkeeper-batsmen have managed in the history of Test cricket. On 2 of Lord’s Test against England, Pants again named their names in the record book. It was attractive to see him batting in the first place after failing to take wickets due to injury to his left index finger.

Pants goes to MS Dhoni

However, despite less than an hour a day a day, Pant defied the obstacles. He came to bat before breaking a record, and this time MS Dhoni’s highest run tally was going to an army (South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia) test series.

The total pants in the ongoing series are now at 361*, crossing Dhoni’s 349-run mark in England in 2014. Notable, Pants already held two spots in the list with 349 runs (2021) in England and 350 runs in Australia (2018). But this latest achievement firmly distinguishes it to the top.

It is quite fun that Pant has also violated this record, and he has six more opportunities to bat in the series (maximum). If he continues to bat well as he is doing, pants can also break the all-time record to score the most runs in a test series as a keeper. The record is currently with Dennis Lindsay, South Africa, who scored 606 against Australia in the 1966/1967 series.

Pant pants to write your legacy

Pant did not take the field after hurting his finger while keeping it on day 1. But once he came out to bat, he looked unknown, fluent in footwork, crisp in strokeplay, and filled with intentions. Coming to 65/3, Pants put up an important partnership with KL Rahul in response to England’s 387.

It is no longer about being the best Indian wicketkeeper-better. Rishabh Pant is now creating a legacy that puts it in India’s all -time great test batsmen. Whether it was hundreds of twins in the first leads in the series or another rescue work in Lord’s, Pant has made India a habit of transporting India the most.

Now he has four tests in England, Rahul Dravid has only six to two, and is tied in four with Tendulkar and Kohli. His attacking outlook in the most difficult circumstances has distinguished him from predecessors like Dhoni and Pharoro Engineer.
