Jannik Sinner limits the practice session, wait for MRI on the elbow

Jannik Sinner attended a limited training session on Tuesday, one day from his Wimbledon Quarter Final Match vs 10th seeded American Ben Shelton.
Earlier reports stated that Sinner had canceled the session, waiting for MRI results on his right elbow.
The All England Club confirmed that the indoor session of Sinner at Aorangi Park in Wimbledon was scrubbed, but top -order Italian coach Darren Kahill told ESPN that his disciple hit a few balls.
“We went to the indoor court and fed the balls (him) for just 20-30 minutes, just to feel the ball,” said Kahill. “He is going to recover, it was good to get into court – it is impossible for him to take a day off.”
Sinner faced injuries during an early decline in the fourth round of Monday’s fourth round against 19th seed Grigor Dimitrov.
The 23-year-old Sinner dropped the first two sets in that match before Dimitrov retired due to his injury 2–2 in the third set.
The best performance of the three-time Grand Slam winner at Grass-Cort Major was a semi-final attempt in 2023.
The match will be on court 1, which will be held after the women’s quarterfinal match between IGA Swiatek and Liudmila Samsonova, which is going on at 1 pm local time.
