ESPN and Big East Conference are not in trade with each other since 2013, but it is about to change.

As ESPN prepares to launch its direct-to-consumer platform of this decline, it has reached a six-year digital rights agreement with the Big East, the parties confirmed on Tuesday.

The Big East Sporting Events are not returning to the linear ESPN as a result of the deal, as the league partner on that front is Fox, NBC and TNT Sports. Instead, ESPN takes over for Flosports as a digital partner.

In this agreement, ESPN+ will be seen starting this upcoming season in the basketball games of 25 non -men, featuring Big East teams. ESPN+ will also take minimum 75 women basketball games and 200 Olympic sports programs.

This is a direct deal between the leader and the conference around the world, not a sub -preparatory, and the Big East will produce all sports.

Senior Vice President of ESPN Nick Dawson said, “We are happy to welcome Big East in ESPN.” “This agreement gives its tradition of excellence for ESPN platforms, one of the major conferences of the country. We are ready for this new chapter in our relationship with Big East.”

Big East Commissioner Val Ekmanman said in a statement, “This exciting partnership with ESPN strengthens our commitment to putting Big East teams on the leading digital sports platform.” “Streaming on ESPN+ gives all our 22 games – especially women’s basketballs and Olympic games – the visibility that they have earned and our fans hope. We are ready to provide high coverage for those fans and family members and a streamlined look that wants to follow the Big East Action in our detailed array of Khel Prasad.
