Best Defense face is the best crime because Links visits Mercury

The best defensive team in the league will complete one of the hottest crimes when Minnesota Links visit Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday.
Links (17-2) has reduced opponents by 40.2 percent shooting and 74.1 points per game, four points in the league.
Mercury (13–6) scored at least 100 points in three of his last five and entered the 102-72 win over Dallas on Monday after the highlight-reel game from Sami Whitcomb and Elisa Thomas.
Whitcomb had a career-high 36 points with seven 3-pointers, and Thomas scored a 16th career triple-dabble and the first-15 points, 15 assistance, 10 rebounds with Phoenix. The mercury is an average of 10.5 Through, League High.
“Our team is actually purchased in our vacancy,” said Mercury Coach Nat Tibbets. “We want to give each other to be aggressive and want to play down
Links have won three consecutive wins, and he defeated Mercury twice at the beginning of five days in the season, which began with a 74–71 victory in Phoenix on 30 May, when the leading scorer Nephassa Kolier (24.3 points per game) was out with an injury. Both mercury decreased by 40 percent from the ground.
“This is the major component for our success,” Links Coach Cheryl Reve said after a 80-75 win over Chicago on Sunday, when Akash shot 37.2 percent.
“We are the best defensive team in the league. Our goal is the best combination of crime and defense. This gives you the best opportunity to compete for a title. In the beginning of the season, in the beginning of the season, we were a slightly slow start. And, man, we have reached a great place.”
Links Guard Curtney Williams, named his second all-star team, has an average of 13.5 points and has scored 28 3-pointers, a speed that will break his career in 2023 to break the high level of his career 45.7 percent three-point shooting sets.
“This is everything about mental cruelty,” Williams said that Links opened the four-game, six-day road trip and would have played six games in 10 days when ending July 14.
“Your body is going to do what your mind tells you to do. We do not make any excuse.”
Phoenix on Tuesday formally signed the Devanna Bonner to the veterans. The six-time all-star started his career with Mercury in 2009 and played 10 seasons with the club.
