Harris English Caddy refused UK visa due to previous drug arrest

Harris English may face the next two important tournaments in the United Kingdom without his caddy, Eric Larsen, whose decades -old prison sentence has proved a difficult barrier for Americans going to Britain among the new travel rules.
While Harris is in a dialect to play in the Rider Cup in the UK for the next two weeks for the Scottish Open and Open Championship, Larsen is trying to get a discount in the new Electronic Travel Authority Visa rules, which can refuse to serve the applicant in 12 months or more jails.
Larsen spent 10 years and three months in jail in June 2006 before being released from a half -road home and convicted for sending friends cocaine. He was allegedly not a drug user or a large -time dealer.
After his release, Larsen worked for Mark Calcachia, who allegedly helped him back to his feet. Larsen cursed for Anthony Kim in 2008, including Jeff overson in 2010 and English for the last eight years, including the last four years with English in the Open Championship.
The English, who learned about the plight of Larsen only three weeks ago, is working hard to help Larsen pass into the UK, including reaching the US Ambassador to UK Warren Stephens.
“It’s just the right people to see it,” English said. “I did not understand how complicated this process was. Someone could see that this man had something last 30 years ago, he is fine in the last 20. How long does it last with him?”
Meanwhile, English, which is number 19 in the world and 10th in the US standing for the Rider Cup, caddy who was using Eater, currently works for Davis Thompson who is not playing at the Scottish Open. However, the Open Championship at Royal Portrash in Thompson in Northern Ireland will require the final place in Northern Ireland with the final location.
“Joe was my plan B,” English said. “Now we are going to get a new plan B.”
English is still hoping that Larsen will somehow be able to make it in the UK given the effort by several outlets by several outlets for Larsen’s credibility.
“He (Office of US Ambassador Stephens) wrote a letter. R&A wrote a letter. PGA Tour wrote a letter. A charity event Eric has worked in the states. It has written a letter. It is not for lack of effort,” English said. “I think it may sit at someone’s desk in the government.”
