Houston Texas donated $ 500K to help flood victims

Local volunteers, American Red Cross, Texas Division of Emergency Management, San Angelo Police Department and San Angelo Fire Department established a shelter in Palon Church on July 4, 2025 after a record flood in San Angelo.

Houston Texas on Saturday announced a $ 500,000 commitment to support people affected by deadly floods in the Texas Hill country.

As Noon ET on Saturday, rescue teams were still searching for more than two dozen children from the girls’ camp after a disastrous flood, killing at least 27 people.

After heavy rains, a wall of water flows in the area that the Gwadalup river grows 26 feet in less than an hour.

Texas owners said, “We are heartbroken by the loss and loss of our neighbors in Texas Hill Country.”

According to officials in Kerville, Texas, some 27 people disappeared from a Christian summer camp located on the banks of the Gwadalup River.
