Trevor Rogers started the 6 2/3 scorer innings and Jackson Holiday helped defeat Atlanta Braves 2–1 on Sunday to sweep his three-game series.
This was the third direct win for Oriols, who first scored a series against Atlanta in Atlanta after 2015 and for the first time since 1999. This was the fourth sweep of the Baltimore season.
The brave people lost four consecutive and dropped nine out of their last 11. Atlanta fell 11 games under 500.
Rogers (2–0), who entered the game with 0-7 career records against the brave, allowed only four hits and two walks and hit a season-high Six. It was a third scorer for Rogers at the beginning, which reduced its ERA to 1.57.
Baltimore Reliever Serringoni Dominguase allowed Sean Murphy to a single homer, its 13th, and Ozy Albiz with one with one in the ninth innings. Dominguase retired Drake Baldwin and Michael Harris II on a grounder, so that he earned his second savings.
Holiday went with 4-for-4, the second four-hit game of his career, a double and home run. He supplied all the crime through a two-nine homer in the third innings, which cleaned the 16-foot brick wall in the right area. This was his 11th of the season.
Atlanta Starter Grant Homes (4-8) played six innings and conceded two runs on four hits and three runs with five strikes. Holmes were helped by protecting the braves, which replaces three double plays behind it.
Oriols placed Gary Sanchez with a right knee tension in the injured list, giving the team four catches on IL. He acquired Alex Jackson from New York Yankis to serve as a backup. Jackson was batting. 226 with 10 Homeers in 44 Games for Triple-e-Scranton/Wilks-Barre.
Oriols proceeded 4–2 on their road trips and returned home to start a three-game series against New York Mets on Tuesday. Braves moved 2–7 on their homestand and started a three-game series against host athletics on Tuesday.
