Scott Dixon sidelined Alex Palu in mid-ohio

Scott Dixon extended a remarkable line when he recorded his first win of Indycar season in Honda 200 in Mid-Ohio in Lexington, Ohio.

It was 45 years old later this month, which has now won an Indycar Series Race since 2005 since 2005, which is a 21 -year -old streak. This marks the 59th win of his magnificent career.

Dixon took his number 9 chip Ganasi racing Honda to Victory Lane after team partner and series leader Alex Palu.

Palu had a slight lead with five laps to go, but widened because his number 10 reached Turn 9. Spaniereard slowed into the dirt and Dixon took him to the rear way, leading the rest.

“It was definitely a difficult race,” Dixon later said. “We had great cars. But it was a lot of fun to pull and pull what we did and it was fantastic with what we did.”

Palu was ready for his seventh win of the season, but settled behind Dixon. 4201 seconds settled for his second runner-up Finnish.

“Just a stupid mistake, honestly. A mistake from my side,” said Palau. “The car was amazing in all weekends, all races. I lost it a little on (corner) entry and really could not really run electricity.

“No one is guilty but I just widened a little on entry and lost it completely.”

Getting out of the top five, Denmark’s Christian Lundguard, Coleton Harta and Pato O’Add of Mexico, were aiming to go back-to-back in mid-ohio.

Palu led 75 out of 90 laps, while Dixon led 11. The win will be a welcome scene for Dixon, who entered the fourth place week in the point race and found the checker flag in the 2024 Detroit Grand Prix 13 months ago.
