Michael Lorengen played seven scorer innings and won for the first time in about a month as Canasus City Royals beat Arizona Diamondback 4–0 in Phoenix.
Bobby Wit Junior and Salvador Perez gave home for Royals, who took two out of three matches in Arizona. Kyle Isbel did 2 -for -4 with RBI, and Vinny Passquantino also had 2 -for -4 with two doubles.
Lorringen (5-8) played seven innings and allowed only two hits and mounds to register his first win over the Mound after defeating Chicago White Sox on 8 June. He matched the high level of his season with seven strikeouts.
Diamondback, who entered an average of 5.2 runs per game on Sunday, was closed for the second time this season, with other examples on 11 April. He was also held for only three hits, a four other time by tying a season less-which included a loss of 7–2 on San Francisco veterans on Thursday.
Lorringen did not leave a hit until the randal grinkuk doubled with two in the fifth.
Erizona Pitcher Anthony Desclafani (0–1) made her first debut for the club, which signed her as a free agent three weeks ago and her first Major League began in about two years. The 35 -year -old Rity, who missed the second half of 2023 and all the elbow injuries of the previous season, stopped the Royals in the first three innings. However, the batsmen of the Canasus City got their second look.
Wit took Desclafani to the left center on the first pitch, which he saw for a single domestic run in the fourth innings, which is 12th of the season. Later, Perce exploded another single shot, its 10th, almost the same place that made it 2–0.
