Mayank Yadav is still injured, no IPL vs. PSL match and third India Test for England’s squad

India has created history at Edgbaston by beating England. After the match, Akash Deep revealed the troubles his family has been going through in recent times. India create history at Edgbaston
Team India completed an incredible 336-run victory at Edgbaston and levelled the 5-match series against England at 1-1. India had never won a Test match at the venue but finally got the monkey off their back in an emphatic manner. Shubman Gill was awarded the ‘player of the match’ award for scoring 430 runs.

No Mayank Yadav in DPL auction
Mayank Yadav had sustained a back injury during the IPL 2025. His season had ended on May 4. It’s been over two months, and the express pacer is yet to recover. Mayank wasn’t part of the DPL 2025 auction and as per DDCA President Rohan Jaitley, he’s still in recovery at the NCA and may not play in the tournament.

Akash Deep’s family struggles
Akash Deep, who became the first Indian bowler to claim a 10-wicket haul in SENA countries for India, has revealed that his elder sister has been battling cancer. Akash dedicated his performance to her and said he hopes it’ll bring happiness to her face through these tough times.

No PSL vs IPL in CLT20
No teams from the PSL or IPL will feature in the rebranded version of the Champions League T20, the World Clubs Championship. In a meeting held in London last month, CEOs of franchise leagues came and talked about the event but no one from PSL or PCB came. BCCI is backing the tournament but won’t send an IPL team.

England’s squad for Lord’s Test
Moments after losing the match, the ECB announced that they have added fast bowler Gus Atkinson to their squad. The pacer had injured himself in June and was out of action for the last month. Josh Tongue and Brydon Carse were spent by the end of the match, and one or both of them could be rested for the Lord’s Test.

Suryavanshi inspired by Gill
Vaibhav Suryavanshi says he’s inspired by Shubman Gill’s 269-run knock and will try to replicate it in the coming matches of the India U19 vs England U19 series. Suryavanshi was in the stadium to watch Gill’s double hundred at Edgbaston and scored 143 runs two days later. But he isn’t satisfied. He wishes to hit a double century like Gill soon.
