Davis Thompson emerges as a leader in John Dere Classic

Davis Thompson emerged as a leader in Silvis, Il on Saturday among the third-round contenders at John Dere Classic to shoot a Birdi Put from 10 1/2 feet on the final hole.

Thompson scored the air situation in TPC Dere to go to 15-under 198.

He is a shot on David Lipsky, Max Homa, Brian Campbell and Argentina’s Emiliano Grillo, when they all post in the 68s.

Thompson, while playing in the final group, beat a pair of bogie at the front, 4 under the last nine holes. Campbell, in that group also, was also a Birdi at number 18.

Lipsky both back -side para -5s. There were three out of the last seven holes in Homa. Grillo closed with a bedi on two of the last three holes.

More than half of the round, there were tied to an edge under 10 golfer 12. The afternoon included a revolving door with golfers, which raised on top of the leaderboard.

When going in the last round of Sunday, there are 14 golfer within the four strokes of the lead.

The day began with two shots of the lead with 12 golfers. Doug Ghim, who led the first and second round, slipped for a tie for the 21st position by shooting 74. He was the first 36-six leader on the tour.

The group under 12 includes Kurt Kitama (66), Austin Acrot (67), Seemus Power (68) of Ireland and Camillo Villagas (69) of Columbia. Eckroat logged into a bogie-free round, which included 3 through eight holes.

Later during the day, due to concerns about the stormy season, the T Times were moved up, the golfers were grouped in Threesomes and the first and 10th teez were used as the initial points.
