San Francisco giants activated the third basman Matt Chapman from the 10-day injured list before the Saturday night competition against host athletics.

Chapman was sidelined on 8 June with a right -handed injury in a game against Atlanta Braves. He blocked the hand, diving back on the first basis under the eighth innings and immediately displayed that he was in pain.
