But the weather gods may have other plans on the final day of ENG vs IND 2nd Test. Rain could potentially play spoilsport in India’s chances of securing a famous win Birmingham on Sunday.

As per the UK Met Office, there is 10-40% chance of rain during the course of the day’s play on Sunday. As per the forecast, the start of the play could be delayed as there is 60% chance of rain an hour before the start of play and 40% chance of rain in the hour when play is supposed to resume. Thereafter, the chance of rain interrupting the remainder of the game is very little.

Needing 608 runs to win, England closed Day 4 at 72/3 with 536 runs away. Harry Brook (15) and Ollie Pope (24) were on the crease after Akash Deep (2/36) and Mohd Siraj (1/29) dismissed Zak Crawley (0), Ben Duckett (25) and Joe Root (6). India declared the 2nd innings at 427/6 with a 607-run lead.
