Naphesa collier (22 digits), Links handles Valkyries

Neeffa Kolier scored 22 points on 8-for-11 shooting from the ground, and Minnesota Links held a win on Golden State Volcaries on Saturday night at Minoriapolis for a win of 82-71.

Courtney Williams added 15 points to Minnesota (16–2), which has won the back-to-back game since losing the WNBA Commissioner’s cup title game against Indiana fever on Tuesday. Kayla McBrid contributed 12 points, and Jessica Shepard had eight points to move from the bench with a team-high 10 rebounds.

Tiffany Hayes scored 23 points on 8-for-11 shooting to lead the Golden State (9-8). Kayla Thornton saw double-dabbal with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Stephanie Telbot scored 10 runs.

Minnesota pushed the Golden State into part due to its assist-to-turnover ratio. Links ended with 25 assistance and nine turnover, while Vulkiris had 19 aids and 10 turnover.

A pesaki defense helped links from increasing the return of the fourth quarter. Minnesota scored the Golden State for the first 4:33 of the last quarter, until Hayes made a 3-pointer for the deficit to 75–63.

McBrid replied with a 3-pointer at the other end of the court, so that the lead of the links could be increased by 15 points with the remaining 4:16.

Links led 69–60 at the end of the third quarter.

Natasha Hydman and Diamond Miller combined for the back-to-back basket for links in the last minute of the third quarter. Hydeman made a jump shot to keep Minnesota above six points, and Miller dried the 3-pointer to increase the profit to nine.

Minnesota led 41–36 at half.

Colier made a 3-population to give Links a 41-31 lead with 2:48 to go to the first half.

Monon Billings responded with five direct points to cut the Golden State deficit. Billings knocked the 3-pointer with the help of Hayes with 2:18, and Billings made a trimmed with a feed from Thornton with 1:45 to play.
