New York Yankis on Friday started Pitcher Clarke Schmidt in his right cell in the 15-day injured list.
The 29 -year -old Schmit took the MRI exam on Friday after three innings removed from Thursday’s game in Toronto. He allowed three runs and four hits and two walks with a strike in a loss of 8–5.
It is 4-4 with 3.32 ERA via 14 starts. He hit 73 batsmen and moved to 30 in 78 2/3 innings.

New York also recalled the Triple-e-Screnton/Wilks-Barre right-handed Scott Epress and left-arm Javin Sandridge. Right-handed Clayton Beater was given the option for Triple-A on Thursday to Blue Jais after damage.
