The fourth of July was once again completed as Joy Chestnut returned to Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Competition after a year gap to complete the competition on Friday for its 17th career title of the famous program in Koni Island, New York.

After sitting out of the previous year’s competition due to sponsorship conflict, Chestnut dropped 70 1/2 hot dog with buns in 10 minutes to eat from the 2024 winner Patrick Bartoleti, which finished second to eat 46 1/2 hot dogs and buns.

Among the 15 contestants, Australia and Brazil were rivals from far away.

Chestnut consumed its record 76 hot dogs and buns in the 2021 competition.

But as the chestnut returned, the competition came back once to be food frenzy. When Bartolatti won last year, he did so by eating 58 of the backyard-grill delysis.

Instead of competing in Kony Island last year, Chestnut participated in a five -minute competition against four army troops in Fort Bliss in Texas’s L Paso, and won with a total of 57 hot dogs and buns.

In women’s competition on Friday, Tampa, Fla’s Mickey Sudo won the 11th Nathan title by eating 33 hot dogs and buns. Sudo won his records of a total of 51 records last year despite falling well.

“I think I let the fans go down a little. I heard people in the crowd saying, ‘Go for 52,” Sudo told ESPN. “Obviously, I am always raising my goals, but did not cooperate hot dogs. For some reason, Bans felt big today.”
